The Joys Of Live Performance
Have you ever gone to a concert, and before the program even starts, felt the energy in the house? The anticipation and the excitement that comes when you just know you're in for a musical treat?
And have you ever been in the midst of a wonderful performance that's just put you in musical nirvana ... and someone coughs, sneezes, or mis-pitches a note? Have you ever noticed the audio technician miss getting the mics live before the music starts, or just has the balance all wrong?
Did this spoil the whole experience for you?
Did this ruin the whole concert and make the rest of the concert unworthy of listening to?
No, it was not spoiled because the overall experience of having been there, listened to it all, and having taken it all in far outweighed the imperfections that appeared every once in a while.
Listen to and watch these live recordings and experience the thrill of the crowd as they can't contain themselves at the end of a piece and begin clapping and shouting their approvals even before the music stops!
Once again live those moments when the music stops, but no one dares spoil the experience with applause, because everyone is sitting in beautiful silence, basking in the spirit!
